Jones, Roger E., age 64, of Oak Park, Ca, passed away suddenly on Tuesday July 5, 2011. He was born March 3, 1947, in Lockport, NY, and was the son of Earl and Loraine Roberts Jones. Roger was a 1969 graduate of Adrian College in Michigan, served in the National Guard from 1970 to 1977 and was vice president of Chivarolli and Associates for 18 years. He has been a resident of California since 1978. Roger was a beloved father, brother, uncle and friend to countless people. Active in his community, Roger coached and assisted with youth sports. He was involved in the Oak Park Booster Club and inducted into their Athletic Hall of Fame for his contributions and fundraising for the school. Recently, Roger participated in the San Diego 100 miles marathon as a pacer. Roger is survived by his sons, Bret Allen, Gregory Ryan and Scott Michael Jones, his Fiancé Wendy Werth and her son, Nicholas, two sisters, Susan Jones-Hagenbach and Molly Jones (Jerry), his niece, Lindsy Yeager and her children, Madelyn and Cole Yeager and his uncle, Col. Clayton R. Roberts. A memorial services was held in Westlake, Ca. Friends may call on Friday August 5, 2011 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. Graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Cold Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Heart Association.
