Pat Hyland of Lockport, NY went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 30th, 2011. Born on July 18, 1931 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Helen Schreiber. Pat was a graduate of Kenmore-West. She furthered her education and became an OR Surgical Tech at Buffalo General Hospital. Her main job and the one that she loved the most was being a mom and wife. She married Bruce W. Hyland on June 13, 1974 in Cape Cod, Massachusetts. Pat enjoyed dancing, fashion and loved life. She was deeply devoted to the proper care of animals. She lovingly dontated to WWIF, IFAW, Doris Day Animal Shelter and was a 50 year member of the SPCA. Mrs. Hyland is survived by her loving daughter and caretaker Jose' Hyland of Lockport, daughter Marie Hyland of Cheektowaga, beloved grandson, Dylan P.Boes and her brother George Metz. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1987 and sister Gloria(Metz) Knoll. Friends may call on Wednesday from 1:00-3:00 PM and 6:00-8:00pm at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave. Lockport, NY 14094. where funeral services will be held directly after calling at 8:00 PM. Interment in Massachusetts National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the SPCA, 205 Ensminger Rd., Tonawanda, NY 14150.
