Fleisher, Robert R. of Lockport, passed away on Wednesday May 2, 2012 at home. Born on February 25, 1923 in Lockhaven, PA, he was the son of Reuben and Evelyn Green Fleisher. He and his wife, the former Bessie M. Fisher, were married on July 12, 1943. Mr. Fleisher served in the U.S. Army from 1943 to 1946 during WWII and was a crane operator at Simond Saw & Steel for 28 years retiring in 1982. In addition to his wife, Bessie M. Fleisher, he is survived by his children, Robert (Cheryl) Fleisher of Strattanville, PA and Bonnie (Paul) Whitesell of Lockport; five grandchildren, Connie Weil, Sheila Fleisher, Michele (Anthony) Smith, Robbie (Lynne) Fleisher and Jennifer (David) Berner; eight great grandchildren, Austin, Saxon, Hudson, Dawson, Anthony, Ashley, Blaise and Michael; siblings, Kathleen, Ann and Reuben and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by siblings, Joseph, Richard, James, Harry, Velma and Rose. Friends may call on Sunday 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM. Entombment in Glenwood Cemetery.
