Obituary of Joseph E. White

White, Joseph Edward Jr. of Lockport, NY passed away suddenly on Thursday November 15, 2012 at home. Born on April 1, 1932 in Lockport, he was the youngest son of Joseph White and Kathleen Leonora Wynne White. Joseph graduated from Lockport Senior High School in 1946 whereupon he entered the U.S. Navy on July 5, 1948 and served as 3rd class petty officer until July of 1952. He then moved to Hennepin, Minnesota and was a very successful Sales Supervisor. After returning to his hometown, Joe earned a Bachelors Business Administration degree from Niagara University in 1978 and an MBA from University of Buffalo in 1982. Joseph retired from Niagara County Treasurer’s Office, under David Broderick, as an Accountant in 1994. He then became self-employed as White Accounting until his death. He was a board member of the Independent Association of Accountants. Formerly married to Lorraine Montesano, Joe is survived by his children, Joseph III, John and Yvonne all of Buffalo; widower of Patricia Humphrey; and survived by his loving companion/fiancée Carol Alabiso of Lockport; his sister-in-law, Lorraine Brown White of CA and several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews. His sibling Ann (Betty) Allport, James White and Kathleen Glassford Lewis predeceased him. Friends may call on Sunday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday at 2:00 PM from St. John the Baptist R.C. Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport, NY. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
