Obituary of Mary P. Antonio

Mary P. Antonio Antonio, Mary P. of Gasport, NY passed away on Saturday December 27, 2014 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah HCF under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on August 25, 1913 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Gesidio and Rosina Ascenzo Police. Mary had worked as a line inspector at Harrison Radiator retiring in 1974. She was on the altar and rosary society and longtime treasurer at St. Anthony’s Church, member of The Dale Association “Bag Ladies”, the Red Hat Society and the Hospital Guild. Mary was an artist and seamstress, painted china, made dolls, knitted with the Knifty Stichers, crocheted. She was well known for the widely distributed baby blankets she made. Mary traveled extensively throughout the world Mary was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent “Jim” Antonio and her siblings, Joseph and Anthony Police and Amelia ”Mickey” Scirati. She is survived by her daughter, Brenda (Richard) Prue; grandchildren, Sue Prue and Michael (Susan) Prue; great grandchildren, Jason and Zachary Prue; sister, Concetta “Min” Newton and several nieces and nephews. She was special great grandmother to, Amanda, Megan and Evan Krulisky. Friends may call on Tuesday 4:00 – 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 AM from All Saints Parish, 76 Church St., Lockport. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
