Lawrence Valetich Obituary

Lawrence “Larry” Valetich of Amherst, NY, passed away on Sunday, April 14, 2024, in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on June 6, 1946, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Helen McInnerney Valetich. He and his wife, the former Evelyn Powley, were married on July 28, 1979. In 2017, after 50 years, Larry retired from Kodak as a Field Engineer.

Larry and his wife travelled to all the National Parks, he had a ham radio license for years, was a model train enthusiast, enjoyed photography and was an avid reader.


Surviving is his wife of 45 years, Evelyn (Powley) Valetich; daughter, Marissa (David, Jr., MD.) Farrugia; granddaughter, Nina Farrugia; sister, Sylvia Meisner and nieces and nephews.


A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
