Russell, Eugene Fredrick “Geno” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the age of 88 and was welcomed into his eternal home in Heaven. He was a native Lockportian, born on September 4, 1936, to Paul and Sophie Smith Russell. Eugene served 5 years in the National Guard and retired from Delphi after 36 years. During his family years as coach Geno, he led the Screwball’s little league team. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed his years as a hockey parent of his boys. Eugene is survived by daughter, Debra Russell Lewis (John); sons, James Russell, Steven Russell, and Daniel (Pam Potempa) Russell; grandchildren, Johnny Lewis, Maxwell Lewis, Jeneva Russell Sartain, and Zachary Russell (Samantha Brick); great-grandchildren, Harrison Sartain and Rowan Russell and former wife, Katherine Witte Russell. He was predeceased by his parents; siblings; William, Frances, Robert and Anastasia Russell and Anna Margaret Windnagle-Lopez and granddaughter, Kelsey Russell. Services will be private.
