Nelson, Jon W. of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at home.

Born on June 7, 1939, in Lockport, he was the son of the late William and Mary Morill Nelson. Jon proudly served in the Army National Guard during the Vietnam War era from 1961 – 1967. In 2001, he retired after 37 years as a Supervisor at Harrison Radiator. Jon was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and enjoyed woodworking, golf and family.

Married to Ellen B. Nelson on January 24, 2004, he was predeceased by his first wife, Celeste W. Nelson. He is survived by his children, Krista (Dr. David) Hansen, Theodore (Louisa) Nelson and Katrina (Douglas) Lynn; grandchildren, Sarah Nelson and Stephen Nelson; brother-in-law, Dr. Kathleen (late Dr. Paul) Wood; nephews, Paul Stratton Wood and Richard Wood and his beloved lucky Penny.
