Obituary of Douglas W. Lloyd

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Douglas “Doug” Lloyd on April 6th, 2025. Doug was born on October 11, 1948, to William and Helen Lloyd. Doug met the love of his life, Jayne Walker, to whom he was married for 39 years. He was known for his gentle ways, soft smile, and unrelenting humor, as well as his unwavering support of his family and community. Along with his wife he was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Buffalo, NY. Doug worked as a real estate broker of Osborne Properties with commercial tenants in New England, Florida, New York, and Ohio. He enjoyed bicycling (once peddling from Indiana to Lockport), sailing, skiing, entertaining at home and preparing a meal for friends and family. Doug resided in Lockport in the home he and his wife lovingly restored with their son and dog Maxwell. He is survived by his wife Jayne; their son Barrett (Samantha); his brother, Robert Lloyd (Deanna); niece, Christine Lloyd (Jon) of Seattle; and nephew, Parker (Frederica) of Oligate, Italy. Doug will be remembered for all the heart he shared with his friends and family. When the time came, he carried himself with dignity, strength, and love for those that went before him. He will be missed dearly. Family and friends may call on Friday, April 11th from 4-7 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 12th at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 1080 Main St, Buffalo at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Doug’s name may be made to Parkinson’s Boxing, 1770 Colvin Blvd., Buffalo, NY, or to Kenan Center capital campaign, 433 Locust St., Lockport.
