Obituary of Patricia Barnes Griffith

Griffith, Patricia Barnes of Lockport, NY, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025. Born on January 19, 1932, in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late Watson and Helen (Colburn) Barnes. She was a 1949 graduate of Lockport Senior High School and married Milo LaVerne Griffith on June 17, 1950. She worked at many jobs and lastly as the Sexton of First English Lutheran Church.
Patti’s musical background was vast, she was a member and soloist in many area churches and organizations, past historian of Niagara Arts Guild and past member of Camera Club. She enjoyed sailing, traveling, music, painting, sewing, photography, golf and reading. She especially loved her wonderful loving family “If you plan it right, you never run out of small Kids”.
She is the mother of Deborah Secrist, Donna (LaRoy) Aiken, Milo David (Cindy) Griffith and Douglas (Kelly) Griffith; grandmother of Michael (Sarah), Andrew (Olga), Matthew (Lauren), late Christopher (Sharon), Heath (Jennifer Teti), Shaun (Keri), Douglas, Jr. (Amy) and Savannah (Thomas), step-grandmother of Cassie (Dave), Melissa (Bill), Teresa (John), Bryan and Richelle (Nick) and great grandmother of many. Predeceased by Milo LaVerne Griffith and dear friends, Patrick Madriska and Robert Chapman.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 14th at 10 AM from First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust Street. Memorials may be made to First English Lutheran Church, Niagara Hospice, Inc. or Medina Memorial Hospital, north wing. Condolences may be offered to the family at Langefuneralhomeinc.com.
