Gloria Gayl Foster Obituary

Gloria Gayl Foster of Lockport, NY, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025, in Niagara Hospice House. Born on September 16, 1946, in Coudersport, PA, she was the daughter of the late Gaylord and Genevieve (Abbott) Scheibner. Gayl was a retired Elementary School Teacher at Anna Merritt Elementary School. Active in Emmanuel United Methodist Church and a member of NYS Chapter BR-PEO.


Surviving is her husband of almost 57 years, John Foster; daughters, Sarah Beth (Michael) Viergutz and Melissa Lee (Thomas) Perryman; grandchildren, Keegan Matthew Perryman, Foster Thomas Perryman and Emma Viergutz. Predeceased by her brother Benno (Barb) Scheibner.


Friends may call on Friday, June 27th from 5-7 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 28th at 10 AM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church and Niagara Hospice, Inc. Private inurnment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
