Obituary of W. Jean Miller

W. Jean Miller Miller, W. Jean has gone to be with her beloved Lord and Savior. Born on November 29, 1934 in Albion, NY to Milton and Grace (Snell) Preston. She married her lifetime love of 52 years, Ralph H. Miller on September 29, 1955 in Albion. Jean worked many years as a secretary at Emmet Belknap Middle School, leaving to work as secretary to the Superintendent of Lockport schools. She retired in 2000. For 48 years, Jean was a very active member of First Baptist Church, Lockport. Jean is remembered by many as a person with a servant’s heart, taking many people under her wing and opening herself and her home to those in need. She enjoyed crocheting, quilting, long walks and various activities, including bowling and horseshoes. Proud and blessed family members are her husband, Ralph H. Miller, children, Marc (Christina) Miller of PA, R. Lee (Heidi) Miller of AL and Marcia (James) Meahl of Hartland, 15 grandchildren and 31/2 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her brothers, Ronald Preston and William Preston. A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday at 3:00 PM at First Baptist Church, 140 Genesee St. Memorials may be made to the GED program of First Baptist Church.
