McQueen, June E., of Gasport, NY, went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday October 30, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 4, 1928 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Harold and Alma Henning Volschow. She lived most of her adult life in Gasport where she worked for many years as manager of Gasport Elementary School cafeteria and was known as the “cafeteria lady”. June was a faithful and active member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was always willing to give a helping hand. June was predeceased by her husband, Donald H. McQueen in April of 1975 and her sister, Virginia Heuck. She is survived by her children, Candace (David) Carlston, Cassandra (Peter) Cramer and Timothy McQueen; her loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, many family members and wonderful friends. There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held on Saturday November 2, 2013 at 11:00 AM from Christ Episcopal Church, 7145 Fieldcrest Dr., Lockport, NY. Interment in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, 4447 Central Ave., PO Box 381, Gasport, NY 14067.
