Obituary of Blanche G. Emery

Emery, Blanche G., formerly of Lockport, NY, passed away on Monday December 30, 2013 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on June 3, 1925 in Dunbar, PA, she was the daughter of Ralph A. and Gladys Herbert Gibson. She graduated in 1943 from Washington High School in Washington, PA and worked as a bank teller until her marriage to Charles H. Emery on October 31, 1945. He died on November 7, 2012. The Emerys moved to Lockport in 1949 and while raising her family Mrs. Emery was involved in various community organizations including Hospital Guild and Meals on Wheels. She enjoyed singing, handicrafts, golf and bowling. After being out of the area for 35 years she returned to be near to her family. Mrs. Emery was the mother of Cedra (Raymond) Ferington of Lockport, Susan (late John) Heher of Presto, PA, the late Ronald Emery and the late Jody Emery; grandmother of David (Kristina) Ferington, Raymond Ferington, Kristin (Kevin) Teeter, Richard Ferington, Ronald Ferington, Kevin Heher and Michael Heher; great grandmother of Justin and Samantha Ferington and Kyle and Kelsey Teeter and sister of Donna (Don) Abell, Gayle Dunn, late Ruth Wilson, late Ralph Gibson and late Patricia Asbaugh.
