Schermerhorn, Carolyn Ulrich of Lockport, NY, passed away on Sunday April 27, 2014 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born on May 29, 1937 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Aloysius and Edna Volschow Ulrich. Carolyn graduated from Lockport High School and then worked at Harrison Radiator in the Insurance Department for a short time. She married Leland B. Schermerhorn, Jr. on September 8, 1956 and was predeceased by her husband in 1997. She was a member of Christ Episcopal Church. Carolyn is survived by three sons, Michael (Marylou), David, and Mark (Ann) all of Lockport; two daughters, Anne (Karl) Steblein of Lockport and Julie (Dennis) Barrows of Concord, NC. She leaves 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren, her sister, Elizabeth (Robert) Dohring of Clarence Center and two brothers, Frederick (Jeanne) Ulrich of SC and Ronald (Debbie) Ulrich of TX. Funeral services will be private with burial in Wrights Corners Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com
