Leonard H. “Red” Block Block, Leonard H. “Red” of North Tonawanda, passed away on Thursday November 1, 2007 at home. He was born on December 6, 1925 in Buffalo and was the son of Henry and Ida Kranz Block. He was an 8th Air force Tech Sergeant and a waist gunner on B24 Bombers in the Army during WWII. Mr. Block was a Senior Communications Consultant for New York Telephone retiring in 1982. He raised quarter horses and was a volunteer member of the Niagara County Mounted Division. Predeceased by his wife, Jacqueline Pettie Block, on August 21, 1981, he is survived by his daughter, Rev. Suzanne M. Block of Pendleton and his son, Timothy J. Block of Boca Raton, FL. Friends may call on Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc. 186 East Ave. where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
