Edith K. (Rademaker) Ferington Ferington, Edith K. (Rademaker), 92 of Lockport, NY died Monday October 20, 2008 in Odd Fellow and Rebekah Health Care Facility after a long illness. Born on September 8, 1916 in Middleport, she was the daughter of Karl and Anna Kindt Rademaker and wife of the late Dr. A. Edmund Ferington. Mrs. Ferington a 76 year resident of Middleport during which time she served as a former Executive Secretary at the Harrison Radiator Washburn Street headquarters and held various church organist positions in Middleport and Lockport. She was a graduate of Bryant and Stratton College, and a former organ student of Scott Ford of Lockport. She was active as a pianist for the long running Middleport Rotary Musicals, a longtime member of the Middleport United Methodist Church and a devoted homemaker, wife and mother. Survived by her three children, Paul (Karen) Ferington of Barker, Dr. James (Jan) Ferington of Lockport and Rozanne (Dr. Damian) Redlinski of Orchard Park, grandchildren, Meredeth (John) Lavelle of Tonawanda, Megan (David) Pruce of Willoughby, Ohio, Derek and Jocelyn Redlinski of Orchard Park and great-grand daughter, Madeline Lavelle of Tonawanda. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and sister-in-law, Geraldine Reynolds of Lockport. Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery.
