Obituary of Robert Muscarella

Robert A. Muscarella Muscarella, Robert A. “Musky” of Prattsburgh, NY died on Tuesday July 27, 2010 in Cobleskill, NY after a tree cutting accident. Born on October 25, 1936 in Buffalo,NY, he was the son of the late Russell and Betty Vaccaro Muscarella. He was a graduate of Lancaster High School, attended the University of Buffalo on a football scholarship and received his Master’s degree from Niagara University. He was a Driver Education Teacher at LaSalle Senior High School where he coached wrestling and football. He was a Physical Education Teacher at LaSalle Middle School. After 30 years of teaching, he retired in 1992.He was an avid NFL and Yankee fan. He also enjoyed horse races and spending time in the woods. Survivors include his wife, the former Patricia Sabatine; a son, Robert (Karen)Muscarella, five sisters; Shirley (Tom) Ziegler, Grace Dunnigan, Barbara (Burt) Pruitt,Carol (Terry) Manning and Marcia Sambora, Bill Sambora, several nieces and nephews, his mother-in-law; Gladys Sabatine and the brother he never had; Marty Galasso. Friends may call on Monday 3:00 – 7:30 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where a funeral service will follow at 7:30 PM.
