Obituary of Robert L. Bartholomew

Robert L. Bartholomew Bartholomew, Robert L. of Lockport, NY, passed away on Tuesday October 5, 2010 at home. Born on April 12, 1934 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Joseph and Rose Farina Bartholomew. Robert proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1952 until 1955 during the Korean War. He was retired from Harrison Radiator and was known locally as a Master Mason. He was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and enjoyed gardening, playing cards and meeting up with friends at Tim Hortons. Robert is survived by his wife, Ruth A. Bartholomew (nee Hofmeister); his children, Debra (Craig) Vought of FL, Robert Bartholomew of Thailand, Cynthia Wagner of FL and Kathleen (Abdul) Bartholomew of MI; 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and his brother Donald (Sue) Bartholomew of Lockport and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Albert. Friends may call on Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport. Burial will follow in Cold Spring Cemetery.
