Obituary of Leslie E. Poss

Poss, Leslie E. of Lockport passed away on Wednesday December 28, 2005 in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born on June 2, 1923 in Buffalo, he was the son of Elmer and Dorothy Sutherland Poss. He served in the Marine Corps during WWII. He worked at Metropolitan Life Insurance, then was a heating and cooling technician for Agway. After his retirement he was a bus driver for the Barker School System. Mr. Poss was a member of Masonic Niagara Lodge # 375 and the First English Lutheran Church. He enjoyed gardening and refinishing furniture. He and his wife, Verna M. Lounsbury Poss, were married on May 11, 1946. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Kevin (Linda) Poss of Lancaster and Keith (Jean) Poss of N.F., four grandchildren, Tara Poss, Adam Poss, Erica Posey and Christopher Poss, two great granddaughters,Lillian Pohl and Skylar Poss, a sister, Joyce Green, two brothers, Clyde (Margaret) Poss and Allan (Kathy) Duncan and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Poss is predeceased by his grandson, Bryan Poss, a sister, Vera Jacobi and a brother, Paul Poss. A memorial service will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from the First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church or Niagara Lodge #375.
