Helen Berg Conti Conti, Helen Berg, of Lockport, NY, passed away on Thursday March 10, 2011 in Niagara Hospice House. Born on January 2, 1916 in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of Ivar and Hulda Nelson Erickson. In 1971, she earned her BA degree from the University of Buffalo and taught English at Lockport High School for a few years. Helen was a member of First English Lutheran Church, Newfane Senior Center and Lockport Camera Club. She enjoyed gardening, painting, dancing, learning languages, music and loved Lockport. Helen is predeceased by her husbands, Arthur R. Berg and Rocco Conti, her son, Steven Berg and three brothers, Henry (late Isabel), Albert (late Clara) and Lawrence Erickson. She is survived by her daughter, Virginia K. Berg of Lancaster, NY, her grandson, Dr. Arthur S. (Dr. Huamei) Berg of Hershey, PA, her great granddaughter, Angelina Helen Berg and several nieces and nephews. Dear friend of the late Wallace Heiman. Friends may call on Sunday 2:00-5:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where funeral services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First English Lutheran Church, Niagara Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
