Rose V. Provenzano Provenzano, Rose V. of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday March 16, 2011 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on February 26, 1917 in Oakmont, PA, she was the daughter of Thomas and Josie Raymond Saia. Rose and her late husband, Frank Provenzano, owned and operated The Lockport Hotel on Charles St. in the late ‘40s and early ‘50s. She was a beautician and had her beauty shop in her home on Walnut St. Rose was a member of St. Joseph’s R.C. Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Rose was predeceased by her husband, Frank Provenzano, in 1979, her daughter, Bessie M. Cooper in 1997, two brothers, Louis and Joseph Saia and her sister, Katherine DiCarlo. She is survived by her son, Samuel (Anita) Provenzano of Lockport, four grandchildren, Francis H. (Christine) Cooper of N.J., Kim Cooper (Steven) Smith of Lockport, Rose Provenzano-White (Fred) of Barker and David Provenzano of Lockport, six great grandchildren, Francesca Mangine (Dan) Breitner, Maria mangine, Samuel Provenzano-Heal, Madeline Carter and Michael and Anthony Cooper, her sister, Evelyn Bates, her daughter-in-law, Joanne Provenzano and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10:00 AM from St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 391 Market St., Lockport, NY. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
