Betty M. Wasson Wasson, Betty M., of Lockport, NY, passed away on Tuesday March 15, 2011 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Health Care Facility. Born on April 3, 1917 in Ashland, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lloyd and Edna Rebenack McCandless. Mrs. Wasson was married to her late husband, William H. Wasson, DDS, on March 21, 1942. He passed away on January 4, 2011. She worked in her husband’s dental office for many years and was later a travel agent at AAA. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, was a great piano player and enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and knitting. Wife of the late William H. Wasson, DDS, she is survived by three children, Constance (Larry) Pundt of Colorado, Paul R. (Barbra) Wasson and Marguerite “Peggy” (Lynn) Durkee all of Lockport; seven grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, her brother, Richard (Ann) McCandless of AZ and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, James McCandless and her sister, Jean Stewart. A memorial service will be held on Friday March 25, 2011 at 11:00 AM from Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., Lockport, NY. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery.
