Aletha A. Blake Blake, Aletha A. of Lockport, NY, passed away on Saturday April 9, 2011 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born on June 14, 1914 in Watertown, NY, she was the daughter of Simeon and Adeline Parnham Lloyd. Mrs. Blake has been a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church for 81 years where she previously taught church school and sang in the choir. She enjoyed playing bridge, ceramics, reading,knit beautifully and was known for her and her late husband’s blueberry/raspberry patch. She was predeceased by her husband, Lynn L. Blake, whom passed away on November 3, 2003. She is survived by three daughters, Lynda (Jim Cain)Blake, Carole Hamilton both of Lockport and Sandra Blake of Oregon, eight grandchildren, Karen Baker, Shari (Don) Tomczak, Rob (Kris) Hamilton, Rick (Cathy) Hamilton, Dan (Lori) Hamilton, Colleen (Eric) Chavez, Stephen (Stacey) Blake and Nicole (Adam Rymsza) Swanson, 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc. 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where services will follow at 4:00 PM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Association. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
