Obituary of Ellen W. Spalding

Ellen Wesselmann Spalding Spalding, Ellen W. formerly of Lockport, NY, passed away on Thursday April 21, 2011 in Lake Wales, FL. Born on November 21, 1916 in Dolgeville, NY, she graduated from high school in 1935 and was a graduate of Utica School of Commerce. Ellen was a Life Master in the Bridge World and taught bridge at several locations and was a member of Lockport United Church of Christ. She is predeceased by her husband, Lyman A. Spalding, her former husband, Ray C. Van Allen and five brothers, George, Carl, Edmund, Paul and Robert Wesselmann. She is survived by her sons, Gary (Carol) Van Allen and Thomas Van Allen both of FL, three grandchildren, Sherry (Larry) Jasinski, Michael (Michelle) Van Allen and James (Donnette) Van Allen and seven great grandchildren. Friends may call on Saturday May 28, 2011 from 11:00 12:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A memorial service will follow with burial in Cold Spring Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Lockport United Church of Christ. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
