Obituary of Ray D. Niver

Niver, Ray D., formerly of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday January 11, 2012 Born on December 22, 1919 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Otis and Cornelia Finch Niver. Mr. Niver served in the U.S. Army from 1942 until 1946 during WWII and worked for Harrison Radiator Division of GMC for 30 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of Tonawanda Free Methodist Church. Mr. Niver was predeceased by his wife, Esther M. Niver, in 2001. He is survived by his Son, William A. (Mary Lew) Niver of Wilson; three grandsons, Ross (Ginny) Niver, Mark (Sandi) Niver both of Newfane and Andy (Kaori) Niver of China; seven great grandchildren, Zachary, Austin, Ethan, Sabrina, Adam, Emma and Lucas Niver and his brother, Robert Niver of Lockport. Friends may call on Friday 3:00 7:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM. Interment in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or Roswell Park Cancer Institute. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
