Mattina, Julia A. of Pendleton, NY, passed away on Friday February 24, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on December 28, 1933 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of Ralph and Anna Brown Amsden. Blessed as her children all lived near, she enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. She loved holidays and family events and was known for her unconditional love and finding the good in everyone she met. Survived by her husband of 58 years, Salvatore “Sam” Mattina, her children, C. (D.) Mattina, Ralph (Colette) Mattina, Salvatore “Sam” (Kimberly) Mattina, Joseph (Beatrice) Mattina and Jerryl Mattina, 9 grandchildren, Salvatore “Sam”, Antonio “AJ”, Andrew and Jenna Mattina, Dalton and Amanda Kinley and Thomas (Michelle), Kristen and Gina Stout, and sisters, Staryl Durnell, Mavis Dawson, Fayann Reinig and Fayrda Wieszala. She was predeceased by her sister, Margaret Haywood. Friends may call on Sunday 3-7 PM and Monday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from Pendleton Center United Methodist Church, 6864 Campbell Blvd. Pendleton, NY. Interment in Evangelical Protestant Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
