Obituary of Robert C. Payne

Payne, Robert C., Sr. of Lockport, NY passed away on Wednesday March 21, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on October 18, 1939 in Lockport, NY, he was the son of Marvin C. and Mary E. Baes Payne. Bob served in the U.S. Navy from 1959 until 1961 and had worked for Niagara Foods in Middleport, NY. He and his wife, the former Mary Anne Meincke, were married on October 22, 1976. Bob enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing. He was a Charter Captain and member of LOTSA Fishing Club. He is survived by his wife Mary Anne Meincke Payne; two sons, Aaron Payne of Tonawanda and Robert C. Payne, Jr. of CA; one granddaughter, Courtney Payne, and his father-in-law, Roland J. (late Sally) Meincke. Bob was predeceased by his son, Brian Payne and his brother, James D. Payne. Friends may call Saturday 5:00 – 9:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where funeral services will be held on Sunday at 1:00 PM. Interment in Wrights Corners Cemetery.
