jean,so sorry for your loss. shirley nagel Jean, I was sorry to read of Art's death, upon returning from vacation. I remember your wedding and the dinner at Schimshack's when a man "interrupted" your wedding dinner and I was trying to get him to go away, then there was laughter, because he turned out to be a friend of yours and Art's! You and Art were always very supportive of my John, and I hope you carry happy memories of your beloved through these days and weeks of grief. May God bless you lovingly and may you always carry Art in your heart. Pat Ludwig Jean, Chris and Steve. Art was a special friend. We shared the same birthday with Elvis Presley. We would go for a birthday drink every year and tell people it was amazing that 3 Kings were born on that day. I helped Art build the house on Slayton Settlement Rd and still remember Art, Mark and I meeting to put up the main trusses he built in the barn. The Cherry picker showed up to lift them when we realized Art built the trusses for the garage and not the main house. I never let him down. The wonderful times we had at the Camp were filled with many laughs (and a drink or 2). He was one of the most respected people I worked with at NYSEG. I worked for Art. He was a great boss and a very loyal person. We felt we knew his sons well as he always talked about them. He took a keen interest in our family. I am very gratefull that I had the opportunity to work for him & to know him. I enjoyed his dry wit. He was a gas man through & through. He talked about electric heat (ETS) as new technology, diving head first into the 17th century. We enjoyed you Art and we will miss you. Our deepest sympathy to Jean, Steve, Chris & family. Art, you were a very special person and you will be missed! Mr. Hall was a mountain of a man. Other than my own dad, no man influenced me more in my young years. Mr. Hall taught me to play chess, and probably gave me more advice on golfing than anyone else. I can still hear him saying, You dont PLAY golf, you GOLF. He taught Steve, Mark and me how to use his tools, LET us use them, and let us use them to build the coolest fort ever on the second floor of their massive original garage. I dont recall his ever having a disagreement with my dad, except the time he had that special gas line put in thought the front yards on Le Van Avenue, for 24 hour ornamental gas lights. Miss Hooper, the Johnsons, Casinos, Kroenenbergs, and Scirtos all said yes, but my dad said no! Geri and I saw him, Jean and Sasha often along the canal paths when we walked our dog in recent years. Hell be greatly missed. My sincere condolences to the entire Hall family. Every once in a while one has the good fortune of associating with someone who makes a special impression and who remains a loyal friend. Art was one of those special people. He will be sorely missed. Dear Jean and family: Please accept my condolences to you and your family. My father, John Weeks, worked with Art at NYSEG. He was forman of the gas division for 42 years. He alway spoke very highly of Art and I had the pleasure of meeting him on several occasions. Blessings on you and yours. Paula and family ;
