Obituary of Lawrence D. Bulmer

Bulmer, Lawrence, D. of Lockport, NY passed away on Tuesday July 10, 2012 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on August 8, 1938 in Lockport, he was the son of James R. and Pearl R. Walden Bulmer. Mr. Bulmer served in the U.S. Navy, owned New Era Tool & Machine Co. from 1973 until 1981 and spent the last 20 years of his career working at the GM Tonawanda Engine Plant. He was a member of the Navy Marine Club, the American Legion and enjoyed reading. Surviving are his wife, Claire Halbig Bulmer, whom he married on July 7, 2001; his children, Brett (Julie) Bulmer, Mark (Patty) Bulmer, Candee Mark) Beaudoin all of Lockport and Nicole Johnson of Ransomville; eight grandchildren, Andrea (Derek) Cruz, Jillian and David Bartholomew, Travis, Jessica, Tanner, Shayna and Maya Lyn Bulmer; four great-grandchildren, Blake, Amielia, Lydia and Kaitlyn; two sisters, Marjorie Rotondu and Florence Darroch; nieces and nephews including Holly, Terri, Kelly and Nathaniel and a longtime friend and neighbor Mary Enzinna. He was predeceased by two brothers, Roger Bulmer and Kurt Bulmer and his sister June Barton. Uncle Jinx, "loved his nieces to pieces". Friends may call on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
