Poss, Verna M. of Lockport, NY, passed away on Thursday November 29, 2012 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital. Born on June 16, 1924 in West Seneca, NY, she was the daughter of Homer and Olive Dubock Lounsbury. She was a draftsman at Curtiss Wright during WWII and was head cashier at Ames Department Store. Mrs. Poss was a member of First English Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, knitting and her grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband, Leslie E. Poss, she is the mother of Kevin (Linda) Poss of Lancaster and Keith (Jean Spence) Poss of N.F.; grandmother of Tara, Adam, Erica, Christopher and the late Bryan; great grandmother of Lillian, Skylar, Aiden, Calvin, Jr. and Christopher, Jr.; sister of Barbara (Arnold) Frantz, Margaret Motsinger, late Mary (late Everett) Burton, late David (Barbara) Lounsbury and the late Eliza Lounsbury and aunt of several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Saturday 3:00 – 7:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. A memorial service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM from First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St., Lockport, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
