Elma Ella (Cowan) McGrath McGrath, Elma Ella (Cowan) of Lockport, passed away on Saturday March 18, 2006 in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born on April 8, 1918 in Wilson, she was the daughter of Roy and Georgia Boyce Cowan. She graduated from Wilson High School in 1936 and moved to Lockport in the early 1940’s and married Donald F. McGrath. She worked for 30 years at College Inn Food Products on South Niagara St. retiring in 1983. Elma was a member of the Wilson Historical Society, the Hartland Historical Society and North Ridge United Methodist Church. Elma enjoyed taking rides in the country and spending time with her grandchildren. She was noted for her cross-stitch sewing and donated many tablecloths to the Wilson Historical Society fundraisers. Predeceased by her husband, Donald, in 1985, she is survived by her Children, Joan (Ralph) Preish of Rochester, Richard (Diane) of Amherst and James of Lockport, grandmother of 7 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and a dear friend, Janet Riffle. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc. 186 East Ave. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM from North Ridge United Methodist Church, 3930 N. Ridge Rd. Interment in North Ridge Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Wilson or Hartland Historical Societies. Post a message of sympathy at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
