H. Paul “Red” Harpst Harpst, H. Paul “Red” of Lockport, passed away on Saturday December 16, 2006 in Lockport Memorial Hospital. Born on February 12, 1928 in Lockport, he was the son of Henry W. and Eva Fuery Harpst. He was a Heavy Equipment Operator for Local 463 Operating Engineers out of Niagara Falls. He was a volunteer at Tri-Town Ambulance, a member of St. Mary’s Church, Gasport and the Knights of Columbus. He enjoyed many pastimes that kept him busy. He is survived by his wife, Janet Wilson Harpst, whom he married on September 5, 1959, his children, Cynthia (Leon) Mangine of Barker, Jeffrey (Karla) of Oswego, Keith (Kathy), John (Julie) both of Newfane and Alan of Lockport, 13 grandchildren, 1 great grandson and several cousins, nieces & nephews. Friends may call on Tuesday 7-9 PM and Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc. 186 East Ave. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10:00 AM from St. Mary’s Church, Gasport.
