William F. Brauer Brauer, William F. of Lockport, passed away on Friday March 16, 2007 in Odd Fellow & Rebekah Rehab. & Health Care Facility. Born on February 24, 1918, in Clarence Center, he was the son of George W. and Melvina Urtel. He served in the Army during WWII and worked as a Crib Attendant at Harrison Radiator for 34 years, retiring in 1974. He was a longtime member of the First English Lutheran Church, the U.A.W. Retirees and enjoyed both flower and vegetable gardening. Mr. Brauer and his wife of 70 years, the former Elizabeth McKeever, were married on January 30, 1937. Along with his wife, he is survived by three children, Arthur W. (Brenda) Brauer of Lockport, Richard F. (Sharon) Brauer of Medina and Karen E. (Raymond) Cody of S.C., eight grandchildren, Kevin (Catherine) Brauer, Susan (Darrel) Oevermann, Robin (Michael) Willey, Scott (Pam) Brauer, Julie (Gary) Kaplan, Raymond (Rebecca) Cody, Christine (Daniel) Walterick and Nursen (Andrew) Germann, nine great grandchildren, a cousin and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Monday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 AM from the First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St. Interment in Cold Spring Cemetery.
