Betty let me play "Amazing Grace" for her on my accordion at Briarwood. I could tell she liked it. A lovely, lovely lady.

Dear Betsy,
I was very so sorry to hear about your mom, but it sounds like she led a very full life!
Being so religious, she's probably happy as a clam up in heaven with God and her family!

Our family is also saddened by the loss of a faithful cousin and follower of the Lord! She was always a blessing to talk with and had hope in the Lord! I remember getting Potatoes from her. They were the best! I am thankful that we will see her again on the other side. I pray that each one is comforted.

What a joy it was to have known Mrs. Williams. She shared a home with my grandmother, Dorothy Fitzgerald at Briarwood Manor. Without fail, every time I saw Mrs. Williams she had a smile and a kind word. Her smile was contagious and I feel honored and blessed to have been a friend to her. God has blessed us all with the joy of life that is Mrs. Williams. She will be missed and remembered fondly.
Blessings and condolences to the family and friends.

Mrs. Williams was my fourth grade teacher at St. Andrews and she was my favorite
teacher and great influence on my life. She had a great love for her students and
for her Lord.

There are people like Noah in the Bible and we don't really know who they are because they are just abstracts sketched with phrases like "they walked with The Lord." My (great) Aunt Betty helped make the abstract real for me. She walked with the Lord. I will always remember her bear hugs (she had the strength one gets from a lot of hard work on the farm), the way she gripped my hands after a sermon and reemphasized a point (saying it much better than I did), and her endless supply of love for everyone (she could get super mad, but still love ya). She knew exactly what was going on around her, but her eyes were always fixed on Jesus.
"Just a closer walk with Thee,
Grant it, Jesus, is my plea,
Daily walking close to Thee,
Let it be, dear Lord, let it be."
Even though I write this in tears, I am happy she gets to see The Lord while walking with Him. We still walk by faith. She now walks by sight.
"...then we shall see face to face". (1 Corinthians 13:12)
