Obituary of Sharon Bars

Sharon Bars Bars, Sharon of Lockport, NY passed away on Sunday November 29, 2015 at home. Born on November 18, 1945 in Hamburg, NY, she was the daughter of Clark and Maxine Carroll Clendening. Sharon and her husband of 52 years, John C. Bars, were married on September 14, 1963. After 25 years, Sharon retired from Delphi Thermal Systems. She was a member and very involved in Bible study and the knitting group and as an office volunteer of Christ Community Church as well as a member of the Dale Association. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Surviving are Sharon’s husband, John C. Bars; children, Marie (David) Boyles of VA, Lisa C. (Terry Eldridge) Noreck of Amherst, Beth (Thomas) Thomson and Douglas Bars both of Lockport; 6 grandchildren, Alyssa, Caitlin and Christopher Boyles, Brandon and Haley Noreck and Tommy Thomson; brothers, Earl (Linda) Clendening and Thomas (Marie) Clendening and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her brother David (late Janice) Clendening, Sharon was a special friend to many. Friends may call on Friday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport, NY. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12:00 PM from Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St., Lockport, NY. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
