An active member of Christ Episcopal Church where she led food and health drives for those in need and delivered home communion to shut-ins, she also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and the Crop Walk for Hunger.

Her husband Max D. Lederer, former Athletic Director for Lockport Public Schools, predeceased her in 1992. She is survived by her four sons, William (Jennifer) of Brookeville, MD, Max Jr.(Sabine) of Huntingtown, MD, Mark (Mary Ellen) of Ewing, NJ and Warren (Lisa) of Mount Olive, NJ; 11 beloved grandchildren, Graham, Anne, Allison, Nikolai, Kristoph, Marie, Christine, Grace, Kathryn, Magdalene and Cecilia; her brother, Richard (Betty) Adie and nieces and nephews.
