Obituary of Catherine Williams

Catherine “Cat” Williams Williams, Catherine “Cat” of Lockport, passed away on Saturday September 27, 2008 at home. Born on October 17, 1927 in Lockport, she was the daughter of the late William and Edna Chapman Robinson. She graduated from Lockport High School in 1945 and worked in the Central Supply Department at Lockport Memorial Hospital for many years, retiring in 1992. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church and was active in the Lockport Community. Known simply as “Cat” she was a prolific writer and contributor to the Lockport Mailbag dispensing advice or sharing observations on many of Lockport’s controversial events. Cat will be best remembered for the hair pieces she wore shaped in a beehive bedecked in jewelry. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Emmanuel United Methodist Church, 75 East Ave., NY. Memorials in her memory may be made to the Church or Save-a-Pet.
