Elsie L. Stebbins of Lockport, NY passed away on Friday July 14, 2017 at home. Born on June 10, 1923 in Lockport, she was the daughter of Floyd and Hazel VanCleve Poole. Member of First English Lutheran Church, she was a very active member of South Lockport Ladies Auxiliary, holding several offices including President. She traveled to all lower 48 states, was a Civil War buff and enjoyed bingo, the casino and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  

Predeceased by her husband, Luther E. Stebbins and siblings, Edward Poole, Dorothy Gill, Shirley Tudor and Diane Preisch. Elsie is survived by her children, Keith (Alberta) Stebbins and Karen (William) Jordan: 4 grandchildren, Jason (Christine), Renee and Aaron (Amanda) Jordan and Miriam (William) Winker; 6 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Sherrick and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call on Monday 4:00 – 7:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport where funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 AM. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, Inc. or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.langefuneralhomeinc.com.
