Nancy,Peter,Abby,Julie and all the Showalter Family: Our family wishs to extend our deepest sympathy to all of you at the loss of your beloved husband, father and grampa "Guy". We are thinking of you all in this difficult time. Wish we could be there to support you - hope you know we are with you in spirits and our thoughts. Love - Brenda and family Nancy, another era has passed. You will have fond memories of hockey & football games. The other stuff will fade away. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I hope you are holding up out there in the old stomping grounds. Have a Ted's on me Libby Nancy, Peter, Abigail and Julie as well as the entire Showalter Family: My deepest sympathy for the loss of your dad, grampa and husband (as well as such a marvelous friend of Peter's). I know how difficult it is to let go. In time, you will get used to but probably never over this loss. He will leave all those fabulous memories behind and those will help you smile in between the tears. Know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Loves and Hugs, Kathy I never would have known the joys of "Talon" if it weren't for my Uncle Art. What an amazing place with the loons in the morning, swimming and water skiing during the day and happy hour and games in the evening. Burgers at Weber's, the seemingly endless ride down the dirt road from the highway, maybe a snake would pop his head out behind the pictures on the mantle, the label table, the pounding of the rain on the steel roof, watching a storm roll across the lake, Molson Golden, jet skiing, fetching water from the spring, canoeing up the river, bats in the belfry, the pissin parsons pagoda...blue skies, fresh air and clean water...what a place. I know why he loved it there. I remember getting together with all of the families to watch the parades at Uncle Marks with the gang; Uncle Art, Dad, Uncle Mark, Fergie, Dr. Bob (Rev. Hemple)...what a crew they were. Loving life and living large! Ill miss you Uncle Art. Take care and be good (I really mean behave!) Steve Dear Sally' Sorry for the loss of Art. He was a wonderful man' And nice to work for. We would have come today' But we are having carpet put down. They wern't done in time Tell everybody we are sorry of his passing God Bless Danny & Rita Sally & all the Showalter Family: On behalf of the Lockport YMCA I wanted to express our deepest sympathy at this time of great loss. We will always be thankful for Art's dedicated service to the community through the YMCA and his dedicated work for the House committee for many, many years. Our prayers are with the family at this sad time, but please find some solace in the knowledge that Art positively influenced the lives of many through his unselfish service to others. God Bless all of you with fond memories and eternal thanksgiving. Mrs. Showalter, My deepest sympathy to you and your family. I had great respect for Mr. Showlater. Sally, I was reading the obituary of my good friend Tom Conlin when I saw saw that Art had Passed away. I worked for Art and Dick for over a year in 1958 before I went back to college. I lived next to Dick and Charlotte on Day Rd. Both great guys to work with. I remember their sense of humor and hard work. They were good role models for a young guy. Hope you are well, Jack Bertelkamp ;
