Obituary of James W. Bowler

James W. Bowler of Lockport, NY passed away on Saturday September 8, 2018 in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born on June 1, 1923 in Lockport, he was the son of James and Anna Fosack Bowler. Mr. Bowler served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 – 1946 and was a Manufacturing Engineer at Harrison Radiator for 36 years, retiring in 1983. He was a long time member of Christ Community Church, active in Society of Manufacturing Engineers, Niagara County Historical Society, Lockport Woodworkers’ Club and the Dale Association.

 

Predeceased by his wife, Catherine Billman Bowler; daughter, Ann Marie Bowler and brother, Donald C. Bowler. Survived by his children, Thomas (Paula Phillips) Bowler and June (John) Knudsen; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

 

Friends may call on Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 AM at Christ Community Church, 140 Genesee St. Interment in Cold Springs Cemetery.
