Obituary of J. Robert Cramer
J. Robert Cramer, entered into rest on Saturday, March 23, 2019 at the age of 84. Born November 29, 1934 in Lockport, NY, he was the youngest child of the late Joseph Cramer and the former Dora Louise Erle. Mr. Cramer attended and graduated from DeSales Catholic High School.
J. Robert married the late Audrey M. Donner Cramer on July 7, 1962 in Good Shepherd RC Church in Pendleton. Mr. Cramer retired from General Motors as a Data Processing Manager after 35 years of service. During his retirement, Mr. Cramer enjoyed golfing, spending time with his family and continued his devotedness to the Catholic Religion. He was a founding member of the St. Vincent de Paul Society at the former St. Mary’s Church in Lockport. J. Robert was very active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society food pantry, a lector, Parish Council Member and Financial Advisory Board Member.
Besides his wife and parents, Mr. Cramer is predeceased by his late siblings Mary Beth (late Forbes) Johnston and Nelson Cramer. He is survived by his loving children Patricia (Robert) Denhoff of Penfield, New York and Christopher Robert (Dianne) Cramer of Windsor, Colorado; cherished grandfather of Kyle (Taylor), Katharine Denhoff, Alexander and Gabriel Cramer; also survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
The family will be present on Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM at the LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Avenue, Lockport, where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 11:15 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from All Saints Church, 76 Church Street, Lockport at 12 PM. Interment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lockport. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in J. Robert Cramer’s name to the All Saints - St. Vincent DePaul Society, 814 Willow Street, Lockport, NY 14094. Condolences can be shared at www.Langefuneralhomeinc.com.
