Obituary of Jeffrey C. Dobbins

Dobbins, Jeffrey C. of Gasport, NY, passed away after a long illness on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Mercy Hospital in Buffalo. Born on July 11, 1953, he is the son of the late William R. and Lucille Smith Dobbins. He graduated from Lockport High School in 1971 and worked for Harrison Radiator in Lockport, retiring after twenty years. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing and watching basketball and football, playing darts and was very interested in politics. He also sailed, designed, and then built his own house, and wrote a book of poetry. He is survived by brothers Terry (Nancy) Dobbins of Lockport and Paul (Roberta) Dobbins of Herndon, VA., nephews Charlie (Kathleen) Dobbins, Noah (Lauren) Dobbins, nieces Kristine (Peter) Spiegel and Katherine Dobbins, great niece Lindsay Spiegel and great nephew Austin Spiegel. He will also be missed by his cat Shorty. Friends may call on Saturday January 3 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home Inc. 186 East Avenue. Funeral services will be private.
