Obituary of Beverly J. Van Horn

Beverly J. Van Horn of Lockport, NY, passed away on Thursday August 15, 2019 in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on February 6, 1941 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Bertram and Amelia Wilson Reed. She graduated from Royalton Hartland Central School in 1959. Beverly married R. Gary Van Horn on August 9, 1969. Gary passed away on October 6, 2004. A legal secretary for R. Joseph Foltz for 22 years, she retired in 2002. Beverly was a member of First English Lutheran Church and the Dale Association and enjoyed her grandchildren, reading, traveling and volunteering at church and at the Dale.

 

Wife of the late R. Gary Van Horn, she is survived by her children, Laura (John) Podesta, Suzanne (Kevin) Guay and Donna (Christian) Voss; four grandchildren, Joshua Ryan Guay, Brenna Leigh and Brian William Podesta and Olivia Ann Voss; sister-in-law, Virginia (Henry W.) Schmidt; several nieces and one nephew and dear friend, Karen Langdon.

 

Friends may call on Friday Aug. 23rd 4-8 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 11 AM at First English Lutheran Church, 185 Locust St., Lockport. Interment in Wrights Corners Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Condolences may be offered to the family at langefuneralhomeinc.com.
