Richard P. Ayers, Sr. of Lockport, NY, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, in Eastern Niagara Hospital. Born on January 8, 1940, in Lockport, he was the son of the late Paul M. and Mary M. (Wright) Ayers. Dick worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years, retiring in 1992. He was an avid NASCAR collector and fan, avid bowler, member of Trinity Lutheran Church, former member of Olcott Yacht Club and former volunteer for Meals on Wheels.
Surviving are his children, Shelley Ayers, Barbara Ayers, and Richard P. (Debra) Ayers, Jr.; grandchildren, Andrew, Patrick, Brittney, Sarah and Robbie; two great grandchildren: several cousins, nieces, and nephews and beloved cat, Nakita. Predeceased by his siblings, Robert (Karen) Ayers and Peggy Pavlik.
Friends may call on Sunday, Aug. 1st from 4-7 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., where funeral service will be on Monday at 10 AM. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.
