Dorothy J. “Dot” Carnegie Carnegie, Dorothy J. “Dot” of Lockport, NY, passed away on Sunday April 5, 2009 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born on June 6, 1931 in Attica, NY, she was the daughter of John and Catherine Lawrence Kelly. She married her husband, Robert F. Carnegie, on September 9, 1961 and last worked as Secretary for the Lockport Board of Realtors. Dorothy was a member of St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ and had been the church treasurer for many years. She loved her family and enjoyed the time they spent at the family cottage on the St. Lawrence River. She is survived by her husband, Robert F. Carnegie, her children, Linda (Keith) Rauch of TN, John (Kathleen) Carnegie of West Winfield, NY and Catherine (William) Haseley of Burlington Flats, NY, grandchildren, Megan, Kirsten, Christina, Joshua, Catherine, Stephanie, Michaela and Breanna, her brother, Lawrence (Audrey) Kelly of FL, her favorite brother-in-law, Jim Carnegie of Syracuse and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call on Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Ave., Lockport. A memorial service will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Stephen’s United Church of Christ, 8520 Tonawanda Creek Road, East Amherst. Memorials may be made to the church.
