Stella (Jesson) Aker, 97 of Lockport entered into rest on January 4, 2022. Born on September 21, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Floyd V. and Minnie (Malcom) Jesson. Stella graduated from Barker Central School in 1943 and married W. Raymond Aker on June 28, 1947. She was a foster mother for Niagara County for 20 years, an active member of the Lockport Wesleyan Church, heading the nursery department for many years and a member of the Dale Association and attended the Memory Minders program.

Stella is survived by her children, Nancy (William) Goodin, Raedel (Alan) Silverman, Mary Lou Sharp, Carol (Paul) Finney, Gary (Carolyn) Eisnor, Jeffery (Fran) Gibbons; brother, John (Nancy Ann) Jesson; many grand and great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Stella was predeceased by husband Raymond Aker, siblings: Marjorie (William) Wolfe, Lucy (Walter) Heatherly, Floyd R (Esther) Jesson, and Grace (Clarence) Seeloff.
