Lee Maren-Kanel of Lockport, NY, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, in Absolut of Gasport. Born on September 14, 1927, in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Mark and Sarah (Sivak) Marianowski. She worked as an independent contractor writing and translating business documents. Writing was her profession and her hobby. She was an avid newspaper reader of the The Buffalo News and The Wall Street Journal and a fan of Frank Sinatra.
Lee was the wife of the late Merwin Kanel and sister of the late Belle Simon and late Alan Maren. She is survived by three nieces, Joan Simon, Kathy Simon and Lynn Simon and several great nieces and nephews.
