Obituary of Roberta L. Winter

Roberta L. Winter Winter, Roberta L. of Pendleton, NY passed away on Sunday May 31, 2009 in Houston, TX. Roberta was born on April 5, 1921 in Great Falls, Montana to the late Robert and Kathryn Fiegel Hayward. She worked for many years at St. Rita’s Home in Getzville, NY retiring in 1977. She was a member of Good Shepherd R.C. Church and the Christian Mothers organization. because Roberta lost her mother during childbirth, she was raised by her grandparents, Jacob and Louisa Fiegel. This inspired Roberta to become the devoted mother that she was to her four children during their entire lives. She was the most loving and caring mother, grandmother and great grandmother that her family could ever have asked for. She will be deeply missed but forever loved. Roberta was predeceased by her husband, Eugene A. Winter, on January 24, 2009, her daughter, Jeanine (Winter) Rocchio and son, Robert. She is survived by sons, Ronald Winter of Pendleton and James (Mary Ann) Winter of Houston, TX, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Friends are invited to call on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home, Inc., 186 East Avenue, Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 10:00 AM from Good Shepherd R.C. Church, 5443 Tonawanda Creek Rd., North Tonawanda. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
