Richard T. Hefferon of Gasport, NY, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2023, in Niagara Hospice House. Born on March 12, 1940, in Buffalo, he was the son of the late James and Mary (nee Smith) Hefferon. Richard served in the U.S. Army from 1963 – 1965. He retired in 1999 from Delphi after 27 years. He enjoyed gardening and sports. Predeceased by his wife, Gloria Hefferon in 2007, Richard is survived by stepchildren, Cindy Donaldson, Linda (Donald) Penwright and Garry (Shirley) Sauls; grandchildren, Jason (Robin) Donaldson, Laura (Colin Pack) Weber, Christopher (Lori) Sauls and Timothy (Nadine) Sauls; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Rosemary Siegamann, Betty Virril, Dorothy Getty, Shirley Crites, Ellen Waldrep, Patricia Doak and David Hefferon. Special friend of Alyssa Swanger and daughter Vivian, and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by siblings, Russell, George, Jack, Robert and Marjorie Morgan. Friends may call Tuesday September 19, from 3-6 PM at LANGE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 186 East Ave., Lockport where funeral services will immediately follow at 6:00 PM. Interment in Hartland Central Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or Niagara Hospice, Inc. Condolences may be offered to the family at langefuneralhomeinc.com.
